Avon will CC you now.
As much as I love Avon, I didn’t think their new CC cream would be any good as it only comes in 6 shades of nude, so not really Brown Beauty friendly… but…
I’ve never tried any of these letter creams before, I mean DD cream is almost out over here! Anyhoo’s I applied it to the back of my hand it it just blended as if it was my natural skin. I was like ‘naaaaah‘, so I blended it on my cheek and voila it was flawless, like truly truly flawless and so so light. I didn’t even feel it.
Nutmeg – darkest
Ivory – lightest
I made a decision ages ago that I would never wear foundation in the summer. The heat, sweat and all that natural sunshine… nightmare for make-up. So for me CC is the perfect go between for someone like me that like’s the ‘barely there/even skin tone look.
I decided to test it against the Nutmeg foundation just to triple check I wasn’t going doo-lally and when next to each other they are obviously different shades, so you can’t really pick your CC cream based on your Avon foundation shade!
The foundation colour is more intense brown wise, rather than intense and orange, which is what I hate in most foundations. This is my main problem with MAC, no matter how many people rate them as the be all and end all on everything make-up!
So anyway I’ll need to test against all three foundations so see if I could get away with nutmeg in sunnier weather whereas in winter when I’m dead looking I’ll need the Caramel and Honey one.
ALSO the best thing about this CC cream is the SPF. It’s 50!!! So absolute coverage. I’ve never worn sunscreen on my face, ever, ever, ever as to be honest I’ve just never bothered to find one. I always wear 50 on my skin though even in this country so this is actually probably the best thing for me.
It looks and feels like Clinique’s Perfectly Real foundation which gives you that natural colour balance/barely there look. An absolute gem.
