So I got my Avon shade TOTALLY wrong!

I’m not ‘Soft Honey‘ in the slightest, I’m Caramel and or Nutmeg in Avon‘s liquid foundation!

I admit I got Avon colour matched under an artificial light late in the evening, but I was matched to two as my outer face is considerably dark.

In trying other brands foundation, only MAC agree’s that I’d need two shades, however when swatching against the nutmeg shade I can get away with either Caramel or Nutmeg, depending on the look I want to go for.

Soft Honey is too light!

Caramel is more ‘dead on’ my T-zone area, whereas Nutmeg offers like darker tinge which I think would look better in winter. Healthy but not ‘glowing’ as if I’ve come back from holiday.  More of a balancing one.

Application/look and feel wise it’s on the same level as Clinique’s Perfectly Real shade 39 foundation which offers the natural dewy look.

The Clinque’s one is thicker but glides on thin and even, Avon is thinner with the same dewy effect.  You get the mnoisturised dewy look, which I notice more with Nutmeg than Caramel, which evens me out like a CC cream!

I couldn’t believe moisture shine off the Nutmeg shade, I looked super fresh, and what’s better is I couldn’t even feel either foundation on me.  Quite possibly the most important foundation factor for me!
