Village AW14 press day: Holly Fulton
So after going to the Holly Fulton AW14 show and stalking her outside for a picture, I got a chance to see and touch her fantastic designs up close!
Once I saw the clothes I totally forgot what my fave piece was at the show until I moved to the next rail! At the press event I spied details I failed to notice at the show, such as the Holly’s embrace of today’s modern technology.
Since were in the digital era and we all live on our phones, tablets and computers, I failed to spot that not only did Holly play with digital prints, she also played with the digital theme with 3D techno images.
To bring the masculine tinged exterior to the feminine audience, the model hands had scarlet red polish on their tips and a triply gorgeous arm candy setup, emphasising our love of wearing more than one bracelet at a time.
As a huge lover on embellishments, I also spied the dainty yet statement touches on the pieces that were more wearable than the labrish styles I’m used to. It matched well with the soft powder blue and blush/peach shades mind.
All in the details
Once I moved through the rack I spied my face item, the COAT! I thought this piece was AMAZING on the catwalk. In fact it reminded me of a Prada style from AW12.
The cocoon shape, the cropped sleeves and the boyfriend style, mixed with a standout alternative floral theme with pops of red makes it the perfect coat for winter. I’m a huge fan of colour so without the red I don’t think it would make such an impact!
