Regenerate a healthy lifestyle in the Cactus Kitchen!
So last night I went to the Cactus Kitchen studio and school and (where they film Saturday Kitchen LIVE) and took part in a cookery masterclass courtesy of the new Regenerate Enamel Science toothpaste developers and Honestly Healthy!
I actually was a bit unsure of what to expect but we were guided through a new scientific toothpaste to help combat tooth enamel erosion. One key fact I noted was that erosion isn’t visible on a normal dentistry checkup! So once moderate erosion has set in, there’s no way back. 🙁 BOO
So we all need to prevent tooth enamel erosion with the help of this new toothpaste!

So now onto the three-part culinary masterclass via Honestly Healthy!
We were all ushered up into the cookery room in the converted rooftop, and we all got given out out kitchen space (errrr, surreal or what?) and we all had to make three meals using super healthy raw food. to be honest it was all raw bar one ingredient.
But at the end, we all felt like we’d been on Masterchef!
We had to make a raw sprouted buckwheat porridge, but this is where it all we downhill for me as my whisking of the dates and gluten free oats just got worse and worse… turns out I left the cap on the whisk. Like I was REALLY meant to notice… so I had to start afresh but take the ingredients home as they need to be soaked for an hour. DAMN!
I still managed to make the blueberry sauce though!
So this was the main one and took a fair bit of doing as we had to use the oven. We had to make a Butternut and aduki bean yoghurt salad.
I wasn’t looking forward to this one as I’m not a fan of uncooked yog based meals. I basically panicked like made in the kitchen, so just copied the two girls in front of me until the man came over and was like ‘how about you check the menu’. I was soooo frazzled!!! I thought we had to visually memorise when we were shown each course at a time. USELESS.COM
For dessert we had to make Raw Nutella brownies.
So basically this is the only one I didn’t fail, as basically you just threw all of the ingredients into a bowl after whizzing the dates and just stir until fudge like.
We then had to splatter it over greaseproof paper and let it sit in the fridge for an hour and them break/chop and eat! Some folks didn’t make it far with their mixture and just ate it from the bowl. CLASSY!
To finish the evening we all took our raw bean salad down to the lounge and devoured our plates! As I’m ill atm and unable to taste to smell, all I could taste was the kick of spring onion and the warmth of garlic. But it was sooooo good, even though I couldn’t fully taste all flavours, so I’ll defo have to remake this one!
So as much as I proved I’m a rubbish baker, which is actually not true, I just got flustered, I learnt an awful lot about healthy eating, raw produce and super foods. All of which are great for our body, mind and teeth. Lesser acidic foods = healthy teeth for life!
