Inside the Lazy Oaf x JuJu launch!
SO the other week I was lucky enough to attend the Juju x Lazy Oaf launch at the Lazy Oaf store just off Carnaby Street. I also got a chance to see Lazy Oaf up close and personal as I’ve only ever admired from afar!
Lazy Oaf is the dopest young and kitsch fashion brand on the high street and internet, they do the funniest catwalk copy’s and mad cartoon collabos, inc the super brilliant Garfield collabo last year. The closest high fashion inspiration behind them is Moschino via Jeremy Scott, so it’s got a very Milan Fashion Week edge! Bright, funky and clashing like crazyyy! TOTALLY my style, and the brand is also MEGA CHEAP!
So back to the collabo!
There’s three Jelly shoes to choose from with three heel heights and different colour ways. The most popular one is the pink and black glitter flatworms, I assume for it’s everyday wearable style as black goes with everything, but for me, the mint green and baby pink ones remind me of the classic jelly shoes from when I was year 6, that I never ever got in the end… *boooo
I also took a browse around the store and picked out a few faves, mainly the dress shirts with swear words and the gym style purple bag, which is an off the cuff twist on the barbie trend and logo. The funniest thing is the interior layout, the basement has cheese boards (like the ones in the cartoons, think Tom & Jerry) with key clothing styles laid out of top. I just thought it was super cool!
Take a closer look at the new collabo and the amazeballs one and only Lazy Oaf store in London.
For the launch party Laxy Oaf laid on some sweets, jelly ornaments and blue coloured beer to really get everyone in the mood for the kitsch collection. The DJ, also got into the spirit and matched her hair and whole style to one of the collabo jelly shoes, AKA my face pink and green one!
Even better my two fave dress shirts were adorned on models in the store, making me what to just buy buy buy buy BUY!
What do you think of the new collabo and Lazy Oaf store?
You should really take a trip to this hidden gem!
