Make Up For Ever

A while ago I was lucky enough to attend the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) opening event in London to celebrate it’s exclusive launch at Debenhams.  It went online on the 19th May and is also available in the Oxford Street store.  The event gave us all a closer insight into the high definition French beauty brand.

Dany Sanz

The creator Dany Sanz has been in the biz for ever, like literally!  Hence the name.  She started out as a body make-up artist and it them spiralled to these amazing art pieces on the face after she was asked to fill in backstage at a theatre show.  And then Make Up For Ever was born, some 30 years ago.  This is where the HD part comes in, as her make-up is for pros it’s hard wearing and long lasting.  For the high quality I’m surprised it’s not more expensive!  It’s actually cheaper than other french cosmetics brands.  The French are also the haute couture when it comes to fashion, skincare and even cosmetics so you know their make-up is stellar!

The packaging is just like Chanel and how the french like it; minimalistic, clean and simple.  Everything comes in a black packaging with white writing to tell you what the product is.

The launch event in town was a chance for us to meet Dany herself and watch some of her videos explaining how the whole brand came about.  One super funny quote was when someone asked her why she paints the body and she was like ‘I dunno’, in that super French accent.  Like for real, she’s PROPER FRENCH!
